Get a Library Card
MTL is supported through city taxes and all residents within the city limits are entitled to a borrower’s library card at no additional charge. A resident borrower’s card is valid for three years from the date issued and can be used at any library throughout the State of Illinois.
Internet & Wi-Fi
The Morrison-Talbott Library (MTL) offers access to the Internet in order to expand the Library's collection of informational, educational, and recreational materials and to provide its users with an opportunity to explore the rapidly developing universe of online electronic resources.
Meeting Rooms
MTL has two Meeting Rooms, one large and one small, and two Study Rooms, which are available to the public for workshops, seminars, or special events during regular library hours. The rooms can be reserved by filling out an application. For more information, please call or e-mail the library.
Fax, Copy & Scan
A FAX machine is available for sending a FAX during regular library hours. The charge is $1.00 for the 1st page and $.50 for any additional page sent within the Continental U.S.
A FAX machine is available 24 hours a day for receiving a FAX. The charge is $.25 per page. Please remind the sender to list your name and phone number on the Faxed page so the library staff knows whom to call when your FAX is received at the library.
A black and white photocopier and a color photocopier are available for use during regular library hours. The copiers make letter-sized, legal-sized, and ledger-sized copies. There is a fee for copies. The library has the ability to scan, save and email black and white and color images.

From January 1st through April 15th a limited supply of income tax forms are available at the Library.
