Homebound Delivery Services
Can’t make it to the library? We’ll bring the library to you!
At Morrison-Talbott Library, we believe everyone deserves access to great books, movies, and more—no matter their situation. If you or someone you know can’t make it to the library due to illness, a medical condition, or mobility challenges, our Homebound Delivery Service is here to help.
Whether it’s for a short time or a long-term need, we’ll deliver library materials right to your doorstep. You can choose from:
- Books (regular or large print)
- Audiobooks
- Magazines
- DVDs
- Puzzles (through our free puzzle exchange, when available)
Getting started is easy! Just fill out a Homebound Delivery Service Application. Once approved, you’ll complete a Material Selection Sheet so we know what kinds of items you enjoy. Then sit back and relax—our staff will select materials for you and deliver them once or twice a month on scheduled days. We’ll even keep track of your reading history to help us find titles you’ll love.
A few quick notes:
- You’ll need a Morrison-Talbott Library card in good standing (no overdue charges).
- City residents can get a library card at no cost.
- Non-residents living outside Waterloo city limits can purchase a non-resident library card.
- Please make sure your home provides a safe and welcoming environment for our delivery staff.
If you’d like to learn more or apply for the service, call us at 618-939-6232 or email mtl@waterloolibrary.org. We’re happy to help bring the library to you!
