Reading Challenge–
Readers of all ages can join our Summer Reading Challenge by reading (or being read to) at least three books for a chance to win prizes including gift cards to local businesses, STL Cardinals tickets, and more. Pick up a reading bookmark to track your books. All bookmarks must be turned in by August 1.

Programs/Events-
Space is limited and registration is required for many programs, so be sure to note which ones require registration, cost, have an age limit, or have a deadline to register! To sign-up for specific programs, please stop in the library or call us at 618-939-6232.

Youth Summer Reading Challenge Game Board-
All youth can also complete the Summer Reading Challenge Game Board by finishing any 8 activities on an age-specific board. Participants will receive a movie pass to RMC Cinema, sponsored by First Community Credit Union, and two tickets to a Gateway Grizzlies reading program night. Turn in game boards by July 13 to be entered to win Monroe County Fair ride tickets, and all completed boards will be entered into a drawing for a reading t-shirt from AIM Designs. Game boards are due August 1.

Extra Activities- We offer a monthly scavenger hunt in the youth library, a Story Walk® outside that you can walk and read a story along the path, a craft activity in the youth library, and more!

Whether your family is going on a vacation, road trip, camping trip, staycation, or staying home, these kits are filled with so many fun ideas and activities to keep the kiddos busy. These free kits are yours to keep and limited to one per family.
